Online sellers are required to contribute financially to the recycling or disposal of waste generated by consumer goods: packaging, batteries, electronic parts, and textiles.
The set of regulations governing this aspect is commonly called “EPR” (Extended Producer Responsibility). The manufacturer, who in this case is the seller of the goods, must therefore be responsible for recycling or disposing of the materials by paying a contribution to the organizations responsible for managing the collection of materials in each country.
